About Me

The Art of Thai Massage is a meeting point of my interests in somatic subtle energy sensing, the biomechanics of the human body, relational listening and holistic body-based medicine.

Fueled by a tactile and experiential nature, I have prioritized education through exploration of different cultures, ways of living and approaches to human health. My relationship with family, friends and my greater community are deep sources of daily inspiration to facilitate wellbeing.

I have come to understand that skillsets are cultivated through a synthesis of how we spend our time, our motivations, commitment to practice, response to failure and our care for ourselves and the greater good.

My travels, extensive training with masters of Thai Massage, obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from UW-Madison and 600 hr-Massage Therapy Licensure certification, as well as 15 years of personal practice of body-mind movement modalities are all important endeavors that have led me to hone my skillset in offering an attunded bodywork experience.

Fundamentally, my practice is oriented around using gravity, bodyweight, leverage, harmonics and stillness to promote the self-corrective healing capacity that is innate to the human system.

I feel at home in the refined creativity and moment-to-moment presence required for the therapeutic process of each of my sessions. All in all, I seek to offer a high quality bodywork space that inspires a clearer connection to a healthier Self.

With delight and care, I look forward to working with you!

In A Session

With a history of over 2,500 years of therapeutic healing, Thai massage is an incredibly rich practice. It is rooted in the expression of heart-centered, loving kindness and opening energetic flow in the body of the receiver, called the Sen Sib in Thai medicine.

As traditionally practiced, sessions are normally 2 hours and received on a mat on the floor with client dressed in comfortable, elastic or loose-fitting clothing.

Moving slowly and mindfully, this style of bodywork compresses, stretches, mobilizes and gently rocks the body.  Techniques are coordinated to release blockages and harmonize the energetic channels of the body, recalibrate the nervous system, relieve muscular tension, improve range of motion, enhance circulation and quiet the mind.  Within this process there is a precious space for self-discovery through breath awareness, witnessing of sensations, releasing neuromuscular patterings and a softening into deeper stillness.
